Job Purpose |
To implement WASH & Shelter projects’ activities, ensure orderly and effective delivery of services to beneficiaries and follow up financial management for projects. In addition to regularly report on the project, as well as to provide support to Syria staff.
Key Responsibilities |

Coordination:
- Act as official IhsanRD representative to stakeholders for all matters concerning WASH & Shelter sectors, such as clusters, partners, and donors meetings.
- Develop and maintain tools.
- Maintain regular and effective communication with field staff and the Turkey office through both verbal and written correspondence.
Programmatic:
- Establish a clear strategy for WASH & Shelter Programs in IhsanRD in collaboration with Manager and another relation departments.
- Support the IhsanRD in exploring funding opportunities based on developed strategies in order to meet the needs in IhsanRD area.
- Support in writing a proposal, such as need assessments general information for Log frame and budgets.
- Ensure effective management & implementation of WASH & Shelter projects and administration of project finances, including adherence to IhsanRD’s, partner and donors’ guidelines.
- implementing all project activities are conducted in accordance with the agreed work plan and proposal.
- Submit monthly and quarterly reports to supervisor, partners and donors, including activity summary, progress against objectives, Services delivered, beneficiary caseload data, achievements to date, issues faced, impact stories and financial expenditure.
- Evaluate implemented, looking into lessons learned and applying them internally within the department.
- Note: The Candidate must comply with IhsanRD’s policies and procedures with respect to the safeguarding, Code of Conduct, PSEAH, data protection, and confidentiality, do no harm principles, and unacceptable behavior protocols.
Note: the above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Another future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department organizational chart.
Qualification (Education/Work Experience) |

Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, civil, or mechanical engineering, or a related discipline.
- Two years of professional experience in the development and implementation of programming, preferably in a developing country.
- Advanced level in both English and Arabic.
- Intermediate level in Turkish language

Desirable:
- Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Electrical, civil or mechanical engineering, or related discipline
- Five years of professional experience in in development and implementation of wash programming, preferably in Syria crisis.
- Native level of both English and Arabic.
- Advance level in Turkish language
