Job Description: Senior Grants an Reporting Officer
Maya Vakfi is seeking a dedicated Senior Grants an Reporting Officer based in Istanbul to play an integral role within our Grants Unit. The Grants Unit, in collaboration with the Programs Director, oversees the grants management process and ensures compliance with donor guidelines throughout the project lifecycle. The Coordinator's responsibilities encompass diverse aspects such as quality reporting, grant opening and closure, adherence to donor regulations, proposal coordination, and effective communication.
Responsibilities:
Proposal Development and Modification:
- Lead the creation of project concept notes, proposals, and budget narratives, alongside technical teams and the M&E department.
- Assist in proposal modification processes under the guidance of the Programs Director.
Archiving and Documentation:
- Manage the classification and archiving of project proposal annexes, collaborating with relevant departments.
Reporting and Coordination:
- Monitor and uphold reporting deadlines, collating inputs from related departments for partner and donor reports.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of data reported to donors by working closely with the program and M&E departments.
- Coordinate responses to queries from donors and partners.
Program Meetings:
- Support the Programs Director in organizing program Grant kick-off meetings, closing meetings, and monthly program meetings.
Administrative Support:
- Provide day-to-day administrative assistance to the Grants Unit.
- Undertake tasks assigned by the Programs Director and General Director.
Qualifications, Experience, and Attributes:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Business, or related field. A graduate degree is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the NGO sector.
- Exceptional written and spoken English skills; adept at proofreading and editing for high-quality project documents.
- Preferred: At least 2 years of experience in grants management, program development, and donor reporting.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Capability to thrive under tight deadlines and pressure.
