Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Bachelors or Diploma in any related degree.

 

General Work Experience:

Preferably 1-3 years of experience preferably in the Safety and Security fields. Skilled in organization management and communication. Able to analyze all security/risk data received from the source. Able to address the team in the field and current operation locations in order to monitor the situation and act accordingly.

 

Skills:

Languages: Good in English/Arabic (writing –reading –speaking) other languages will be desired especially (Turkish).

Computing: Proficient in Microsoft Office including, excel, word, outlook, etc.

  • Communication: Strong communicator, ability to negotiate, facilitating, and representation skills.
  • Time management skills.
  • Team Management and supervisory skills.
  • Able to be a focal point of contact.

 

Abilities:

  • To show commitment to social justice and the mission of SYD as an organization.
  • Establish security and safety plans.
  • To communicate with local authorities in the country.
  • To work extra time as needed.
  • To travel in general inside Turkey, to borders, and in Syria if required.
  • Organizing and archiving documents.
  • To demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring the quality of safety standards in SYD.
  • Analyzing the data to monitor safety plans and improvements on demand.
  • Liaising and negotiating with agencies and partners in related tasks.
  • Analyzing safety problems and producing new solutions.
  • Co-ordinate with programs and other departments effectively.
  • Creating database and maintaining plan to secure SYD staff in Turkey and Syria
  • Reporting tasks and issues to management as needed.
  • Coordinating with SYD partners and Donors in order to create an effective security plan by
    attending meetings, workshops, and giving briefings.
  • Try to find the best solutions for problems with no violating of SYD policies and share his/her
    ideas with superior managers.
  • Preparing evacuation, hibernation and relocation plans.
