About UOSSM Turkey:

A non-profit, non-governmental humanitarian medical relief organization, licensed in Turkey, that assists refugees affected by humanitarian disasters, living in Turkey and Syria.

The organization was established in Turkey in 2012 and is based in Reyhanli, Hatay.

UOSSM Turkey is a member organization of the Paris-based International Union of Care and Relief Organizations (UOSSM), which provides humanitarian, medical relief services to people affected by crises in several places around the world. In cooperation with member organizations (UOSSM USA, UOSSM Canada, UOSSM France, UOSSM Britain, UOSSM Germany, UOSSM Netherlands, and UOSSM Switzerland), UOSSM Turkey seeks to mobilize efforts and coordinate projects with a vision of providing independent and impartial humanitarian assistance to those affected by humanitarian disasters.

UOSSM Turkey provides its services to all refugees regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion or political affiliation. UOSSM Turkey has been a licensed organization registered in Turkey since 2012 by the Department of Associations, with license number 059-018-31. UOSSM Turkey works in five Turkish states (Hatay, Gaziantep, Kilis, Ankara, Istanbul) and provides specialized services in physiotherapy and rehabilitation programs, as well as mental health and psychosocial support.

Job title: Mental Health Technical Officer

Reporting to center coordinator – MHPSS Coordinator

Job Summary:

Mental Health field Officer in the Mental Health Center in Turkey is responsible for the technical team of psychologists and special needs rehabilitation (SNR) team. also supports activities in the field level and makes sure that the action plans are implemented in a coordinating manner and on time.

duties and responsibilities:

• Supervision:

Provide technical support to the technical team of psychologists by conducting a specific supervision mechanism such as:

➢Individual case discussion for the psychologist’s beneficiaries, includes the therapeutic plans, the needed tools and other details of the intervention.

➢ Shadowing the individual and group sessions facilitated by the team members. ➢ Facilitate group supervision sessions with the team.

• Follow-up:

➢ Ensure correct MOUs/TORs are in place with relevant stakeholders and other humanitarian actors in the implementing area.

➢ Set the outreach action plans and activities for the outreach teams.

➢ Field visits on regular basis to partners of humanitarian actors receiving the outreach services

➢ Facilitate team weekly meetings to discuss work progress and challenges.

➢ Monitor the team’s competencies and performance.

. • Communication:

➢ UOSSM technical support team of the head office

➢ Partners and other humanitarian actors of other NGOs.

➢ Other Field Officers in the other Mental Health Centers in Turkey.

➢ The Project Coordinator.

➢ Provides Direct provision of mental health consultations to the beneficiaries of the mental

health Center.

• Other Duties and Tasks:

➢ Contribute to recruitment process of new technical employees (short listing – job interviews)

➢ Orientation in addition to necessary training to the recent recruited employees of the technical staff members.

➢ Prepare and organize the awareness raising, psychoeducation and IEC material topics.

➢ Work closely with the Data Entry and ensure proper data collection process.

➢ Work closely with the M&E responsible person and facilitate the M&E procedures.

➢ Contribute to the capacity building services for partners NGOs by planning and providing technical support to the team or providing direct training when necessary.

➢ Report to the MHPSS Regional Officer, the Project Coordinator.

➢ Adhere to all UOSSM’s policies and procedures as outlined in MC policies and procedure manuals.

➢ Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

BA or master's in psychology

Experience: 2 years’ Experience in same field.

Skills: CBT, EMDR courses, Strong proven knowledge, and experience in providing technical

Microsoft office: Advanced level

English Languages: Advanced level

Arabic Languages: Advanced level

Turkish nationality is Requested.
