ABOUT IDD:

Insana Değer Derneği (IDD) is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation providing relief and development assistance in Turkey. IDD is committed to the best practice and quality of work of its staff, its partner organisations and other associates. IDD programs focus mainly on livelihood, food security, rural rehabilitation and emergency education. Operations are managed from Turkey where IDD’s main office is established serving as administrative and logistics support of program being implemented directly or through partners.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordination

  • Coordinate with the Deputy M&E Manager, Gaziantep-based field coordinator and Program teams to provide timely data collection in line with donor requirements internal requirements and external assessment contribution on the following:
  • Market Monitoring (Price monitoring, Functionality monitoring, Vendors assessments)
  • Needs assessments
  • Baseline assessments
  • PDM assessments
  • Requirements on beneficiary information (distribution summaries, protocols, database to all required levels of disaggregation)
  • Communicate regularly with Information Management team to submit any data to M&E Management.
  • Liaise with PMs on SOPs for data collection procedure, quality assurance and ethical guidelines.
  • Ensure field teams across North West Syria follow SOPs, communicate with Gaziantep field coordinator about SOPs and raise any concerns with the Deputy M&E Manager and M&E Manager.
  • Directly supervise the M&E Teams in Field:
  • Daily communication with M&E field Coordinator and field staff for activity planning of verifications, distribution monitoring, post-distribution monitoring, ad hoc monitoring (liaise with assessment officer for assessment data collection, market monitoring).
  • Weekly catch-up meeting for ‘top level’ concerns (e.g. tool feedback, complaints) in coordination with M&E Manager and Deputy Manager.
  • Supervise field staff to ensure they are submitting timely and quality reporting, photo & video documentation, & other reporting inputs, as necessary.
  • Ensure all field staff follow Data Management SOPs.
  • Foster good coordination and relationships and timely sharing of key issues related to Data management and collection within and across key departments: FVs, Education and Agriculture.
  • Act as focal point for qualitative data analysis and reporting, with an emphasis on Education related activities

Reporting/data management products

  • Monitoring data entry in the field.
  • Ensure SOPs for data management, storage, quality assurance and ethical collection are circulated with all mission staff
  • Support the M&E Manager and Deputy M&E Manager on producing tools for needs, baseline, PDM, vendor and end-line assessments
  • Support in report writing and analysis, especially of qualitative data for Education baselines and end-lines. Reporting duties should be discussed with M&E Deputy Manager, depending on team workload.
  • Responsible for long-term projects (food vouchers, cash for work, agriculture and wash), and education modalities by rolling and follow-up with PMs and providing all project process needs.

Human Resource Management

  • Ensure field teams are supported and trained on the verification, distribution monitoring and post-distribution monitoring tools in Idleb North
  • Provide day-to-day support, coordination and mentoring to data entry assistants in Gaziantep and in the field
  • Provide capacity-building support for data entry staff, through identifying trainings and liaising with M&E Deputy Manager, and providing clear feedback on tasks.

Technical skills:

  • 3 years’ experience in NGO/humanitarian work / Good Knowledge and understanding of humanitarian programming, including understanding of project cycle management (PCM) 
  • Fair skills in CRM methodologies, including: (Receiving calls from beneficiaries, Communicating with beneficiaries).
  • Good knowledge with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook) and digital data collection software Kobo Collect
  • Good knowledge in analyzing data

General skills:

  • Bachelor degree in relevant field
  • Work as part of the team to meet objectives and targets of the projects, using established internal processes, and ability to work with teams in tense and high volatile contexts
  • Communication abilities
  • Problem solving abilities, including: attention to detail, autonomy, organization and flexibility
  • English: Written and spoken fluency
  • Arabic: Written and spoken fluency mandatory
