General Functions:  

Working under the overall direction of the National Resource Manager Officer, the intern will assist with the financial activities in the Mission.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Finance staff in Ankara on activities and operational procedures for finance. This may include responsibilities related to entering data, filing, scanning, copying, as well as follow-up on specific financial issues;
  • Assist with financial aspects of the unit in conjunction with local staff;
  • Attend internal meetings related to financial areas of IOM's activities;
  • Interact with other sub-offices on relevant financial issues;
  • Assist with the preparation of documents for signatures;
  • Coordinate with other finance staff, as necessary, to facilitate their daily works; and
  • Undertake all other tasks as may be assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business Administration, International Relations or a related field is required.

Languages:

 

  • Fluency in Turkish and English is required.

Only candidates residing in either the country of the duty station or from a location in a neighbouring country that is within commuting distance of the duty station will be considered. In all cases, a prerequisite for taking up the position is legal residency in the country of the duty station, or in the neighbouring country located within commuting distance, and work permit, as applicable.
