CHILD SAFEGUARDING:

Level 1 – You will not have contact with children or young people.

 

ROLE PURPOSE: 

Support the Finance team in managing the finance and record and prepare all type of financial transactions according to SCI and donor rules and regulations.

 

SCOPE OF ROLE: 

Reports to: Finance and IT Manager

Reportee: None

Budget responsibility: None

 

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY: 

• Act as a custodian for the petty cash, Bank and cashbook

• Maintain an up-to-date cash book 

• Prepare the GLACOS for cash and bank payments 

• Reviewing all cash payments and tracking all programme advances issued and returned

• Perform weekly cash counts and ensure book and actual balances reconcile

• Support other Finance team in review all bank payments requests 

• Maintain and updating the filling system for Finance Department 

• Support at finding related documents for internal and external audits.

• Complete any other tasks as required by other Finance team

• Assist in preparing the bank letters and all other correspondence

• Assist in coordination with banks and accounting firm

• Check taxes and social security calculations made by accounting firm

• Provide payments documents collaborating with the other departments in order for accounting firm to calculate the taxes of the relevant month

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Required 

• Turkish nationality is a requirement for this position. 

• Finance qualification is needed, individuals with practical experience will be considered

• Experience of working with partners on financial monitoring and reporting is desirable

• A desire to learn and work in a challenging but rewarding environment

• Ability to work under pressure alone and as part of a team

• English and Turkish speaker required

• A strong sense of integrity

• Attention to detail

• Good working knowledge of Excel
