About Maya Vakfı

Maya Vakfı is a non-profit organization based in Istanbul that supports children and youth affected by trauma through mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) programs. Our mission is to help children build resilience and reach their full potential in a safe and inclusive environment.

Position Summary

We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Fundraising and Communication Officer to develop and implement fundraising strategies that support our mission and programs. The ideal candidate will manage events and campaigns to increase revenue from individuals, foundations, and corporations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute fundraising plans aligned with organizational goals
• Identify and research potential fundraising opportunities
• Organize and manage fundraising events, including national marathons and online campaigns
• Propose innovative fundraising ideas
• Manage fundraising communications
• Monitor fundraising performance and prepare monthly and annual reports
• Represent the organization at events, and conferences
• Support and lead communications for fundraising campaigns across social media and digital platforms
• Collaborate with programs and finance teams to align fundraising with project needs
• Contribute to Maya Vakfı’s overall social media strategy and outreach efforts

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, or a related field
• Minimum 4 years of experience in fundraising and communication in NGOs and/or INGOs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Turkish
• Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong time management skills
• Creative thinking and problem-solving ability
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Passion for the mission and values of the NGO sector

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of digital fundraising and social media engagement
• Experience managing and promoting fundraising campaigns via Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter)
• High level of literacy and numeracy

Willingness to travel and work in field locations in affected areas as needed
