About Violet:
Violet began its journey in early 2014 with the aim of responding to the crisis that occurred in Syria with the beginning of the revolution. Violet has developed several sectors to provide medical services, humanitarian and relief support to the afflicted Syrian people. At the beginning of 2018, Violet is running several sensitive programs in the fields of Medical Support, Food Security, Education, Health and the Community Resilience.
Violet is distinguished by its noble goal to support the youth, as it was found for the sake of youth and works for them, and Violet believes in the importance of volunteering in humanitarian work.

The Project Manager will be overall responsible for implementing the Empowering local CSOs project of the EU-funded project. Project activities include: Organizational capacity assessment, Capacity building, Small grants management.

Key Responsibilities
 Manage the implementation of all EU funded project activities in line with donor requirements, government regulations and Concern organizational strategy.
 Conduct regular visits to the field (Aleppo and Idleb) project locations to oversee the work of the project team.
 Budget holder responsibility for EU-funded project activities.
 Advise on: Organizational capacity assessment and Capacity building.
 Prepare the project implementation plan in cooperation with the program manager and the implementation team.
 Supervise the implementation of projects and activities on a daily manner. This includes directing activities, avoiding mistakes, and receiving and submitting project reports.
 Prepare the reports to be reviewed and developed by the program manager to be submitted to donors. These could include daily, weekly, quarterly, progress, and final reports.
 Lead the field team and follow up the implementation of activities with them.
 Follow-up with other departments in relation to projects activities.
 Prepare weekly implementation work plans and follow up the implementation with the field team.
 Participate in the opening of the offer, and procurement committee to evaluate the competing bids and help choose the winning bid.
 Support the project officers in following up on the project agreement conditions.
 Prepare the detailed BOQ (Bill of Quantities) technical conditions and handing them over to the procurement department.
 Support the program manager in the preparation of project proposals based on the technical and humanitarian needs assessment conducted by the field team.
 Ensure that all documents and project documentation are archived on one drive and in team software.
 Tracking and recording lessons learned from the projects.
 Tracking and following all the processes related to the project (PRs, Media & visibility Plan, Human Resources and casual workers, work plan and log frame).

Note: the above mentioned key responsibilities / accountabilities are illustrative ones. Another future responsibility/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department organizational chart.


Qualification (Education/Work Experience) Essential:
 University Degree in a relevant field such as business administration, Psychology, Social Work, human rights, international humanitarian law or other fields related to humanitarian works.
 Three years of experience in leading and implementing Capacity building activities.
 Knowledge of youth in humanitarian emergencies and development, and Capacity building.
 Advanced level in English and fluent in Arabic.

Core & Managerial Competencies &Technical:
 Strong written and verbal communications skills required
 Ability to use MS Office programs, particularly Excel
 English language required; Arabic and/or Turkish desirable;
 Good organizational skills, time management skills, and an ability to prioritize multiple and demanding tasks  Adaptable, self-motivated, willing to learn and take on extra duties as required.

Violet responds to emergencies in Syria in most humanitarian sectors: Food Security and Livelihood, Non-food Items and Shelter, Education, Health, Protection, WASH & Shelter, and Camp Coordination and Management.
Violet integrates the protection sector in all the aforementioned sectors. With the length of the conflict and the survival of people for long periods at stake, Violet’s response has had to not only be focused on the emergency response but on the immediate implementation of long-impact health and education sector projects in all of Idlib.
Violet worked to establish and develop its organizational structure to start officially as an organization registered in Turkey in 2014. Accordingly, Violet divided the work into key sectors that mimic the divisions of international humanitarian organizations and implemented the appropriate structure for all departments and staff.
