Association for Aid and Relief, Japan (AAR Japan) is an international humanitarian organization that helps people in need in over 15 countries. We began our emergency relief operation in response to the Syrian crisis in October 2012. AAR Japan is looking for a Case Worker who will be positioned in Mardin, Turkey.

TEAM/ PROGRAM: Case Management

Reports to: CM Officer

ROLE SUMMARY: Assisting to İmplement the Project, Conducting to Field and Case Management Works

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct Case Management activities of vulnerable people of concern under the supervision of the Case Management Officer and Senior Case Management Officer.
  • Conduct household visits and ensure qualitative interventions through assessment, regular monitoring, review and follow-up.
  • Communicate with beneficiaries and service providers to ensure effective and appropriate interventions.
  • Drafting weekly reports on Case Management activities.
  • Translate supporting documents shared in English, Arabic or Turkish and act as an interpreter when required.
  • Conduct mapping of service providers in Mardin.

 

PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Essential

  • At least Secondary School diploma
  • Minimum 2 Years of professional experience in social work, child care or relevant social services sector
  • Minimum 1 Year’s professional experience in humanitarian work
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Program
  • Native Kurdish or Arabic language with high English skills
  • Flexibility to work in fast-paced and multicultural work environment sometimes under extreme pressure

Desirable

  • Bechelor’s Degree in social work, social service, child care or nursing
  • Minimum 1 year professional experience in the refugee protection sector, especially child protection.
  • Proficiency in Turkish language
  • Familiarity with the local refugee context in Mardin
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in social work, case management or psychology
